Recorded on your lawn, {{survey_date}}
{{first_name}}, I walked your lawn. Here is what I found.
{{first_name}}, thanks for having me out to {{property_name}} on {{survey_date}}.
Your lawn measures 216.11 m², which is a decent size, and it is in better shape underneath than it looks from the patio. That is the good news. The bad news is that the six things I found are all connected, and three of them come back to the same root cause.
Your soil is compacted. Water sits rather than draining. That means shallow roots, which means the grass is weak, which means moss and weeds move into ground the grass should be holding. The chafer grubs then finish the job from underneath. Feed a lawn like that and most of what you pay for washes off the surface.
So the order matters. Open the soil up first with aeration, then feed it, then the weed and moss control has something to work with. Do it the other way round and you are back here next year with the same lawn and a lighter wallet.
I have set out three ways forward below. I have marked the one I would choose for your lawn, and I have been straight about what each one leaves undone. If you want to argue with me about it, use the box further down. I read every one myself.
Three ways forward
All three treat the six findings. I have told you plainly what each one leaves undone, because you will find out anyway and I would rather you heard it from me.
Premier
The 14 core treatments. Feeds, weed control, moss control, grub monitoring, soil testing. What it leaves undone: no aeration. On your compacted soil that means we are treating symptoms rather than the cause. It works, but slowly.
Professional
Everything above, plus annual aeration and two drought drenches. Aeration is the visit that changes your lawn, because it is the only one that fixes the drainage. What it leaves undone: no scarification, so the moss gets held back chemically rather than pulled out.
Platinum
Everything above, plus scarification and a second moss treatment. This is a restoration. Your lawn will look worse for a fortnight in September, then better than it has in years. What it leaves undone: nothing. It is also the most expensive, and for some lawns it is more than they need.
