Tying SEO into Reddit, TikTok & the podcast

Turning the Semrush benchmark findings into a single content pipeline · one topic, four surfaces

The idea in one line

Pick the topic once from SEO data. Produce it once for the podcast. Cut it four ways.

Every keyword gap or quick-win in the SEO report is also a Reddit question, a TikTok hook, and a podcast segment. Recording the podcast first gives you the raw material for everything else — the blog article, the Reddit reply, the TikTok clip, the newsletter section — for the cost of a single conversation.

How each channel earns its keep

SEO / Blog

The capture layer. Where intent turns into a quote form.
  • Long-form article per target keyword
  • Owns the money page (quote CTA)
  • Ranks 6–12 months out
  • Traffic compounds forever

Reddit

The research layer. Where you find the exact wording of the problem.
  • Answer real, dated questions
  • Signals authority, drives referrals
  • Tells us which topics have live demand
  • Feeds titles for blog + TikTok

TikTok / Reels / Shorts

The reach layer. Where cold audiences meet the brand.
  • 30–60s answer to the same question
  • Face + van + lawn = trust in seconds
  • Drives brand searches → shows as Direct in GA4
  • Highest volume of new eyeballs

Podcast

The source layer. Where the ideas are made in the first place.
  • One 20–40 min episode per topic
  • Transcribes into blog, snippets, notes
  • Deepens trust with warm audience
  • Cuts into TikTok clips + Reddit answers

The topic list — straight from the SEO benchmark

Every row is a keyword we're either missing entirely or already sitting at position 20–30. Book each one as a podcast episode; the rest of the outputs follow.

The production flow — one topic, one week

  1. Monday · Pick. Choose a row from the table above. SEO already told us it's worth doing.
  2. Tuesday · Record. 20–40 min podcast episode. This is the only real production step; everything below is re-cutting.
  3. Wednesday · Transcribe & write. Run the audio through Whisper. Edit the transcript into the blog article that targets the SEO keyword — link out to /quote-2 and the matching /lawn-care service page.
  4. Thursday · Cut TikToks. 3× 30–60s clips from the podcast footage. Different hooks, same topic. Post one, hold two.
  5. Friday · Reddit. Find one live thread on the topic (search r/GardeningUK, r/LawnCare, r/AskUK). Write a genuine reply — do not link the blog. Drop the podcast link only if directly asked.
  6. Ongoing. Newsletter section pulls from the same episode. WhatsApp broadcast if it's seasonal.

How each channel makes the other stronger

LoopWhat it does
Reddit → SEOLive questions reveal the exact language people search. If a Reddit thread uses "my lawn looks like a carpet", that's the H2 subheading in the blog. Reddit is the world's largest free keyword-research tool.
TikTok → SEO (via Direct)TikTok doesn't send clickable traffic well, but it drives brand search. Someone sees a Shrekfeet clip, googles "shrekfeet" a week later, lands direct. This is a big share of the 5,217 Direct users in the GA4 report.
Podcast → SEOEvery episode = 3,000+ words of original expert content transcribed into a blog post. Google loves depth. Guest appearances get you backlinks (fixes the referral gap — currently only 78 users/90d).
SEO → PodcastSemrush picks the topic list. No more guessing what episode 12 should be about.
Podcast → TikTok / RedditEverything you already recorded becomes 5–10 short posts. Content cost per output drops dramatically.
Reddit → PodcastThe best Reddit answers you write become episode intros: "Someone on r/GardeningUK asked this last week and it comes up every spring…"

What to do differently this quarter

Book the first 8 podcast episodes off the table above. Every episode has a proven SEO target, a recurring Reddit thread, and a visual TikTok hook already identified. No content-planning meetings needed.
Add a "listen to the episode" panel to every matching blog article. The podcast page (shrekfeet.com/the-shrekfeet-lawncare-podcast) currently isn't linked from any of the top-20 content pages. Cross-linking earns dwell time (helps SEO) and grows podcast listens.
Use TikTok to attack terms Semrush says are un-winnable via SEO. "Lawn care" (KD 66) and "lawn" (KD 43) are Kingsbury's — we won't outrank them soon. But TikTok doesn't care about domain authority. A viral 30s clip on "is your lawn actually dying or just dormant?" reaches the same audience with none of the SEO cost.
Use Reddit to close the referral / backlink gap. We have 78 referral users in 90 days — tiny. Reddit answers with the podcast link (only when contextually appropriate) build genuine referral clicks + long-term backlink signal without buying anything.
Tag everything. Add UTMs to every podcast show-note link, every Reddit reply, every TikTok bio swap. Right now those channels get lumped into GA4's Direct bucket (65% of traffic) and disappear. Fixing UTMs is what lets us actually prove this flywheel works.
