What's actually involved
What we do: An autumn-specific feed - lower nitrogen, higher potash and iron - to strengthen roots not top-growth.
Why it matters: Spring feeds push leaf; autumn feeds push root. Strong roots are how a lawn survives winter and comes back thick in March.

Why it matters: Kill them now and they don't come back in spring. Leave them and they're the first thing you see in March.
